THE PROCESS OF CHOICE:
OVERWHELMED, CONFUSED & FRUSTRATED
As a young girl, I often felt confused and unclear about the roles and relationships of the people in my world. People seemed to say one thing and live out something else. I often felt like a boat tossing in the sea without an anchor, and wondered what it would be like to be on solid ground with a map to help me find my bearings.
I tried hard to be good, but it never seemed enough. I was confused and frustrated. This confusion shadowed me, penetrating my career, my relationships, and above all my senses of self-worth and trust for years to come. People said that challenges would build character, but for me it created shame. I could not seem to shift my perspective, but I DID have the INSIGHT to know that I wanted something different, and chose to see a counsellor. That was one of my first and BEST healthy decisions of my life.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE FOSTERED MY OWN CLARITY
Truthfully, clarity didn’t arrive overnight. But, step-by-step I began to see a difference in myself, how I faced my problems and how I saw the world. Something started shifting. I cleared up my relationship confusion, invested in healthy relationships and began to trust in my ability to make sense of the paths I desired to follow. I returned to school and completed a diploma in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Counselling.
I believe in being a life-long learner, so I am regularly attend courses within the field of counselling.
I have done post graduate studies in the field of:
- Lifespan Integration/trauma therapy
- Anxiety/Depression
- Sexual addiction

DAILY DECISIONS: SOME SMALL, OTHERS MONUMENTAL, BUT ALL REQUIRE CLARITY
I believe that clarity is something we all crave in all parts of our lives, and it is essential for navigating life successfully. This skill is something I have used in so many parts of my life – my 35 year marriage, effecting positive growth in my adult children, moving to Europe and New Zealand and Canada, and in navigating the everydayness of life – loss, grief, health issues or whatever it is that life has presented.
As a Registered Professional Counsellor and as a Certified Professional Counsellor Supervisor and Business Consultant, I am excited to share the tools and processes I have learnt to help individuals, families, businesses and non-profit organizations gain clarity, navigate obstacles and make positive change in their lives and businesses.
